Description
The Decree of the Minister of Health June 11, 2010, provided for the establishment of the database for monitoring medical devices that healthcare facilities directly managed by the National Health Service purchase or make available for use. The database is fed by individual regions and also covers contracts entered into since Oct. 1, 2010 for the procurement of medical devices. For the latter, the Decree of the Minister of Health Nov. 25, 2013 defines the data to be collected. Thus, the monitoring covers: medical devices distributed to operating units of inpatient and nursing facilities intended for internal use or direct distribution; medical devices purchased or made available by Local Health Authorities or equivalent facilities and intended for facilities in their territory for internal use, direct distribution or distribution on behalf; and contracts for the acquisition and provision of medical devices signed by Local Health Authorities. Monitoring also includes in vitro diagnostic devices (IVDs).
