Report production, external review, and public consultation

Reports related to assessments identified as a priority can be entrusted either to AGENAS, which has been producing HTA reports on behalf of the Ministry of Health since 2007, or to Collaborating Centers registered in a National Register based on the possession of specific requirements. The type of document (Full HTA, with evaluation extended to nonclinical aspects, Rapid HTA, with evaluation limited to clinical aspects, Horizon Scanning - HS, Systematic Reviews) is chosen on the basis of the availability of studies and survey questions, which are defined in relation to the subpopulations involved, types of intervention, comparators and outcomes to be analyzed. Each new AGENAS HTA-HS report must undergo external review . After external review, each new report is initiated to a public consultation open to all stakeholders, which is done by publishing the revised report and collecting comments.
