The Cabina di Regia The 2014-2016 Health Pact and the Stability Laws for 2015 and 2016 outlined a new institutional model of cooperation between the central and regional levels in the pursuit of behaviors useful for achieving goals of clinical effectiveness, management efficiency and sustainability of innovation. Therefore, a Steering Cabin was established that, through collaboration between the Ministry, national agencies (AGENAS and AIFA) and the regions, can coordinate Health Technology Assessment activities developed at the national and local levels, implementing a National Program. The Cabina di Regia has the task of: identifying evaluation priorities of national interest, consistent with European guidelines promoting and coordinating consistent and non-overlapping evaluation activities validating methodological guidelines shared among all actors promoting the use and dissemination of evaluations, verifying that virtuous behaviors in investment and disinvestment policies result.
